Challenge #5 - ReUse!
Alter Packaging by Jana Eubank
The packaging that scrapbooking supplies (and other things) come in are sometimes almost as adorable as the product themselves! For this challenge I want you to alter packaging and repurpose it into something else. Sounds fun, huh?! Look around you and see what you have. Now try and look at it with fresh eyes and brainstorm what you could turn it into. Below I have included three examples. The first one is using the June Sweet Pea Scraps Kit. Included in the kit were the new adorable felt flowers by Heidi Swapp. I decided to use the clam shell packaging as a Thank You treat to someone special. The next photo is a Maya Road tin that I turned into a Tic Tac Toe game for the kids. The game pieces are made from glass marbles that are available at craft stores or home improvement centers. The last example is the crayon container. Can you tell what packaging that one is? . . . Yep! It's a mini M&M's container! I kept saving them, just 'cause they were so darn cute! I wasn't sure what I would do with them at the time, but later decided to make them into travel containers to hold crayons for my kids. Use your imagination! I can't wait to see what you have to share with us!
**okay...Jenn here. Does Jana not just totally ROCK?? I'm checking out that crayon container and thinking what a GREAT idea that would be...just to have thrown in my purse for those occasions when you need something to occupy the kids but didn't think to bring something along. AND...I already lifted her thank you idea...I did that for the teachers at school!!**

OMG Jana, these are so darn cute... Definitely going to be making a crayon container and a tic tac toe game... thanks for such a great challenge!!
