Happy month of May everyone! I sure hope you celebrated International Scrapbooking Day this past weekend and had some creative fun!
This week's challenge is to create a layout title using something to replace at least one letter. You can get super creative for this one. In my example below, I used a Maya Road flower to replace the 'O' in the word 'Shore'. Why not try using a button for an O, or a brad or a piece of shaped chipboard for a letter. Why not try using a washer for an O in a masculine page's title!
Let's see your creative take flight this week! Happy scrapping!
~ Sweet Pea Girl, Ally ~
The link to this song was posted on 2peas this week - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxT5NwQUtVM&feature=related. If you've never seen it, you should have a peek - it's hilarious!! She now also has one for Dad's too that's not nearly as long. I downloaded the lyrics - they fit well with this pic don't you think??? The M's in the word Mom are actually W's upside down, the H is two different letter spliced together, & the E is a backwards 3. Made with the May '08 kit + letters from the September '07 kit, circle tag from the May '07 kit & misc jewels from my stash.
so I used the american traditional design - beach fun- Brights
American traditional designs - Welcome baby - pastels for the dots
and colormates
PP & CS from May '08 kit, ribbon from March '08 kit, letters from the January '08 kit & Prima flowers.
My favorite way to scrapbook is by Keeping it Simple. When I get frustrated and burdened with having to catch up on my scrapbooking, I turn to the "less is MORE"... mindset. Now that I have two kids, a preschooler, and a almost toddler, I am busy and always on the go. Keeping up is hard to do.
My challenge to you is Keep it Simple.
For this layout, I chose,
one paper
one embellishment
two words
and staples...
