Here is my entry for Challenge #2. I used some chip board letters from my stash that I bought a long time ago and never used! I sanded and inked the edges of the letters to distress them. I scraplifted this layout from Jenn
Stevens- thanks for the great example Jenn!
This week's challenge is all about distressing! I want to see something on your layout distressed to the max! Crumple something! Ink it! Sand it!
Okay - Jenn Stevens and decided to use Ally's layout as a personal challenge to show how to take a one photo layout and make it a multi photo layout. This veered WAY off track and you can't even tell I was trying scraplift Ally's original layout. But I did crumple and ink my circle just like she had done. I didn't score the kraft colored paper - I just crumpled it then inked it. I have used a spray bottle in the past to soften the paper a bit before crumpling- but I was too lazy to go fill one - just goes to show there are many ways to crumple paper!
This month I have found myself in a time crunch with all things that are MY LIFE...I was looking around my scrap room trying to think about what I already had, that I could use. That's when my inspiration (or maybe we should call it obsession) hit me!! I have a stack, and I mean a stack of
those 7 Gypsies 97% Complete stickers. I think I have every letter of the alphabet...seriously! All of which are hanging there with not one sticker used off the sheet. So, I made it my mission to use one of them for my challenge this week. You can call it a sticker challenge, if that's your thing. Or...maybe you should call it a use your stash challenge. Either way, I would like for you to look thru your scrap stash. Find those things that you thought you HAD TO HAVE, but have yet to use....and use them!! Get in there, start tossin' things around, and get busy. Let's see what you can come up with...I can't wait to see!
My challenge this month is to document a time in your life... a day in the life, a week in the life, month in the life whatever you like. I have always always liked the idea and concept of these mini albums. I do however find them hard to get done. I have good intentions when I start but it seems that LIFE just gets in the way and I get sidetracked from documenting my day or days and I forget to take photos. So I took baby steps... I started with just ONE HOUR!! My mini album "Today Between 12 and 1" was just one hour, our lunch hour, our busiest hour of the day... I did it, I documented, I took photos, I told the story of just that one hour... I have accomplished what I have set out to do from start to finish all in one day... Show me what you can come up with with this challenge... I look forward to seeing everyone's projects!!
So that's my challenge for you all. Scrap a layout with at LEAST THREE photos on it!!
Journaling : Look what happens when I leave Erica alone for 15 minutes!! These were just a few of the forty pictures that magically showed up on my camera. I downloaded them & was going to erase them, when I saw that a few of the pictures were really quite interesting. It's kind of cool to see the world from her POINT OF VIEW.
