Dress It Up with Dimension
It's no secret that scrapbookers are in love with their patterned papers! We collect it and hoard it like crazy! Patterned paper can add immediate interest to a page, but sometimes it can feel a little flat. An easy way to dress it up is by adding dimension with brads, buttons, jewels or eyelets directly on top of the pattern! For this challenge try adding a few buttons here-and-there to a polka dot pattern, . . . add brads to a flower center, how about jewels to the wings of a butterfly? The possibilities are limitless. When you're finished, email your page to jenns@sweetpeascraps.com to enter your name in the monthly prize drawing. Have fun!
Supplies: CS - Prism & misc, PP - BG, Karen Foster, Dreamstreet & misc, Embellies - Heidi Swapp, Heidi Grace, Kelly Panacci(Sandylion) & misc, Font - Honey Script (internet).
The challenge this week is all about ONE color... that's right! You can only use ONE color plus any black or white elements.
For my example, "Tickle Kiss", I used tints and tones of purple. I loved all the purple in this month's kit and I used a lot of it in my creations. I used purple inks, purple pens, purple brads, purple bling, purple papers and even purple ribbon. I went purple crazy!!!
Supplies in addition to several different SPS kits : CS - Prism & Core'dinations, Flowers - Prima & Petaloo, Ribbon - misc, Font (title) - Beautiful ES.
So my challenge to you all is simple...create a layout about a game, ride, or day at the local fair, Disneyland, amusement park or carnival!!
make sure you click on the picture to see the whole thing...it's a 2 pager..and super cute too!
School’s Almost out… it’s time for summer holidays!!!
We love summer… we don’t do a lot of traveling or going away for our summer holidays as my husband is in his “Busy” time at work over the summer. We do however get to venture off to visit the grandparents and aunts and uncles. So with this I like to make a mini album. Guaranteed I won’t be scrapbooking every photo from get together’s, play dates etc while we are away so I like to have a mini album where I can get my photos developed and just put them in a book with minimal journaling etc.
My challenge to you is to get ready for summer… make a summer mini book to document your summer vacations, stories, and fun!! My goal for this book is to allow my son to take it to playschool in September for show and tell. He can show his teacher and friends all the things he did while we were away!!
Have fun…
This year is their first year going to a summer daycamp, so made one of these little mini albums for each of my older kids. The covers are 6x12, with the inside pages being 5x12. There's a spot for them to write about what they did, plus a place for pictures from that day. My plan is to give them each a disposable camera to take their own pics.

The packaging that scrapbooking supplies (and other things) come in are sometimes almost as adorable as the product themselves! For this challenge I want you to alter packaging and repurpose it into something else.
I made a necklace and earrings as a teacher gift and used Jana's great idea for packaging up the jewelry!
